Yesterday, on the 7th July, the memorial of Michael Jackson took place at the Staples Center. Among the thousands of men present Michael Jackson’s children attracted the most attention. They were as they were, with all their innocence, trustworthy reliability and children’s frankness. They turned up at the end of the memorial and it was evidently the most moving and significant moment. Here they were, all three of them. The girl, Paris, held her purse, the son, Blanket, had the memorial program in his hands and tightened a doll of Michael Jackson, the oldest son, Prince Michael, had a chewing gum in his mouth and carried the program. Nobody suspected that Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, had the bravery of making a speech before thousands of persons alive and billions in front of the TV sets and on the net. She came to the stage and told the entire humankind how much she loved her father. “I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine,” said Paris. “And I just wanted to say I love him so much,” confessed she while the tears turned up in her eyes. It was the most touching thing evidently and it was the first public speaking of a young girl.
Apart from the relatives of Michael Jackson there were a great number of famous people present on the memorial. Among them Motown founder Berry Gordy, Stevie Wonder, musician, a pal of the prominent pop-star, Smokey Robinson, Usher, Mariah Carrie, boxer Mike Tyson and others. Gordy said, “I think he is simply the greatest entertainer that ever lived”. “He studied the great and became greater. He raised the bar and then broke the bar. His talent and creativity thrust him and entertainment into another stratosphere,” Gordy added. Michael Jackson’s brother, Marlon also added. “Michael when you left us, a part of me went with you,” said Marlon. Michael Jackson was not able to pick up calm when he was alive because mass media was always giving chase him. That is why Marlon said, “Maybe now Michael they will leave you alone.”
